IFC Midnight Acquires Supernatural Thriller ‘Haunt’ For U.S. Distribution!

Word has come in that genre specialists IFC Midnight has acquired all U.S. distribution rights to director Mac Carter’s upcoming supernatural thriller,  Haunt.   Read on for more information down below.

Screen Daily reports, The distributor has acquired all US rights to Mac Carter’s genre title starring Jacki Weaver. QED International handles sales outside the US.

Andrew Barrer wrote the screenplay to the QED International, Rivergate Entertainment and Revolver Picture Company production.

At time of writing IFC Midnight had not set a theatrical release date for Haunt, which centres on a boy who gets involved with a mysterious neighbour when his family moves into a new home and unwittingly summons a demon. Harrison Gilbertson and Liana Liberato also star.

“We are all thrilled that IFC Midnight has acquired US rights — they’re experts in the genre and really know how to build excitement for a terrifying supernatural thriller like Haunt,” said John Hegeman of QED and Nick Phillips of Revolver.
