Dark Realm is not docudrama, not just performance footage or a concert film, but something unlike anything else. Never before in the worlds of illusion or Horror has this kind of film project been attempted.”Dark Realm” is a feature length film, based on international Master Gothic Illusionist Ron Fitzgerald’s show, “Fitzgerald’s Realm of Magic”, it features his dark, edgy, supernatural inspired illusions combined with a Horror film narrative. It’s a one of a kind thrill ride that’s an atmospheric blend of Fitzgerald’s Gothic Illusion performances and a Supernatural Horror/Thriller!

Inspired by classic Horror films such as “The Mad Magician” starring Vincent Price and “The Wizard of Gore’ by director Herschel Gordon Lewis, “Dark Realm” goes beyond them to present complete, Horror styled illusion performances, presented in front of a live theatre audience without the aid of ‘Movie Magic”, by a true Master Ilusiont, who is also an actor.

For over twenty five years Fitzgerald has performed from Hollywood to Hong Kong, as well as Lollapalooza. with his sinister signiture style that features him eating razor blades, decapitating and cremating his lovely companions, for your entertainment pleasure, all with his wicked sense of humor and the promise of ‘dark, sticky fun!’ In addition, Ron is the current host of the long-running Chicago Alternative Burlesque sensations, “Festival of Flesh”. Fitzgerald has also been acting in Horor and Sci-Fi films for well over a decade now. As Fitzgerald had completed “The Item”, “The Thirsting”, “Afraid of Sunrise”, “Magus”, “Year of the Ox” and “Dracula’s Orgy of the Dammed” , along the way, on director John Lechago’s “Blood Gnome”, an unholy alliance of  deadly drama was formed when Ron met “Dark Realm”‘s co-writer, with Fitzgerald,  and director, Vincent Bilancio.  Vincent is the  star of John Lechago’s “Blood Gnome”, “Bio Slime” and Jeff Leroy’s “The Screaming”. This veteran Horror film personality, with over twenty guest appearances and key roles in major Horror and Sci-Fi classics, including Rodger Corman’s “Sorority House Massacre”, Bilancio, is also co-creator of the modern cult classic “Werewolf in a Women’s Prison”!

Now, on “Dark Realm” Fitzgerald and Bilancio’s combined creative bloodletting begins! Ron Fitzgerald will be performing his illusions exactly as he does in his live, Gothic/Horror performance art and illusion shows – with absolutely no camera tricks employed – as this Master Illusionist competes with the a gruesome Personification of Evil that has morphed itself into an Earthly form for a fight to the death for innocent lives and Souls, as you ask yourself what is reality and what is illusion.

Also featured in the “Dark Realm” cast along with Fitzgerald and Bilancio are Kaylee Williams (Slices of Life, Insignificant Celluloid), Heather Dorff (What They Say, Urban Legends), Cheries Jubalie (Dracula’s Orgy of the Damned, Campfire Tales)
and Al Burke (The Wedding Singer, Kiljoy Goes to Hell, Magus).

In addition there are special appearances by Lady India, Cleo LaVamp, Red Rum and Desiree Demonix.

The film features an amazing score and other song contributions from House Made of Dawn as well as tracks from indie music
bands and artists including Voltaire, Sinister Fate, The Dark Theater, Thorn Fetish, The Damn Bats. and Kim Hoffman.

“Dark Realm” will make it’s World Premiere at the Chicago Horror Film Festival on Saturday, September 28th! There will be a live performance of Fitzgerald’s Gothic Ilusions just prior to the screening at 7:20 PM with the “Dark Relam” premiere at 8 PM, followed by a Q and A with Fitzgerald, Bilancio and other cast members.
