2008 – Writer Oliver Crawford, who penned episodes for TV shows such as “The Outer Limits,” the original “Star Trek” and “Land of the Giants” (to name a few), passed away at the age of 91.

1995 – Tom McBride who played “Mark” in “Friday the 13th Part 2,” passed away at the age of 42.

1991 – Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, passed away at the age of 87.

1984 – Neil Hamilton, who played “Commissioner Gordon” on the “Batman” TV series, passed away at the age of 85.

1939/1979 – Father and son Carl Laemmle and Carl Laemmle Jr., both passed away on the same date. Dad passed away at the age of 72, and Jr. at the age of 71. Laemmle Sr. created Universal Pictures.

1976 – Bruno VeSota who appeared in the films “The Wild World of Batwoman,” “Attack of the Mayan Mummy” and “The Haunted Palace,” passed away at the age of 54.
