Over this past weekend, while Topps was at New York Comic-Con, Mantic Games’ MARS ATTACKS: THE MINIATURES GAME zoomed past the 400,000 dollar mark on Kickstarter! During the unprecedented 160K three-day weekend, Mantic unlocked FOURTEEN new stretch goals, including a Martian Attack Saucer, a set of new Martian Marine figures, freeze ray guns and even a JUDGE DREDD MARTIAN figurine based on artist Greg Staples’ cover art to Mars Attacks Judge Dredd #2 from IDW Publishing! This unique, co-branded miniature is being produced under license from Topps and 2000AD and will be available to all backers as an exclusive add-on!

Also achieved was an entirely new game entitled MARS ATTACKS: ESCALATION, an exciting new expansion for MARS ATTACKS: THE MINIATURES GAME that will introduce new heroes and villains to the standard game as well as increase the board size from 2′ x 2′ to 4′ x 4′! This expansion will include a troop carrier truck, a flying saucer and 12 figurines and will bring larger scale battles into the story. Future stretch goals will feature giant-sized robots, mutated insects and more upgrades that will add to the expansion and base game at no extra cost.

As the kickstarted campaign begins to sizzle, fans can expect lots more surprises and great new add-ons as the totals increase! Check out the kickstarted page here:
