35 years ago John Carpenter directed Halloween, and it would become the most iconic slasher film and one of the top horror films of all time. It’s a sacred franchise, and anyone who has tried to “enhance” the series – Rob Zombie, for instance – has been torn to shreds. It’s true, you need to have a particularly large set of balls to try and take on anything Halloween related.

Well, Michael A. Isaacs must have some big ones because he’s currently working on a fan film saga currently titled “Haddonfield: The Series.” His series will follow Halloween 6, another daring choice in itself. Below you will the first press release for the series, as well as some promotional images. Also, make sure to “like” the Facebook page so you’ll know when the Indiegogo campaign launches.

Right now, I’ll be in suspense waiting for this to drop. Halloween is my favorite franchise and I grave new material. I can support this as long as its good. So, all eyes on you Mr. Issac. Don’t let me down.

Ambitious up-and-coming horror director Michael A. Isaacs (American Slaughter) has chosen to travel to none other than the iconic fictional town of Haddonfield, Illinois for his latest project “Haddonfield: The Series.”

Based on one the most popular horror franchises, Halloween, “Haddonfield: The Series” is a non-profit fan film series that looks to please fans of the original franchise with an original storyline which will follow the events of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.

The goal is to bring audiences back to the original vibe of the series while introducing a new vision. It is said that “Haddonfield:The Series” will run two separate storyline arcs which will intertwine come the end of the season.

The plot will follow Steve, a young man riddled with visions of an unclear past who struggles to put together the pieces of his identity. Admitted to the Glenwood Medical Ward, Steve demands answers to unlocking what is being kept from him. He is becoming unbalanced and the staff is in for far more than they ever expected. Bodies are piling up and the list of suspects is getting shorter. Meanwhile, a few hours away in the town of Haddonfield, high school student Skylar thinks she is barely surviving life as a teenage girl in the suburbs. Soon she and her friends will learn the true meaning of survival as they come face to face with an iconic killer from Haddonfield’s lurid history.

An indiegogo campaign will go viral Halloween 2013 followed by production which begins February 2014.

Cast members will include Chase McGuire, Denise Woelpern, Mickey Faerch, Simone Valentine, Dennis Burke, Marten Richard Borg, Jocelyne Watts, Anthony LePage, Aaron Stall, and more! Haddonfield: The Series is written and directed by Michael A. Isaacs with Danny Chiang and cinematographer Sophano Van.
