For sometime now I have been bringing you beautiful people news and updates on the upcoming indie flick Burn in Hell. However, lately I have not brought you any news of the film and it has sadly gone forgotten…until now. Recently director Joshua Bruce and a few members of the cast reached out to me and filled me in on what is going on with the project.
Those unfamiliar with the film should know this flick boasts a rather impressive list of indie genre actors, as well as, two members of the AMC television show Comicbook Men and Horror Society’s very own Michael Defellipo. Here is the rather impressive cast list; Kenny Gieger, Joshua Bruce, Rob Bruce, Michael Zapcic, Ken Brotis, Ming Chen, Zack Sabat, Dylan McLarnon, Johnny Dickie, Joe Parascand, Nick Petitio, Genoveva Rossi, Michael DeFellipo Paul Long Jr., Ron Reda, Michael Egner, and Anthony Edward Curry.
The Facebook page has this to say about the film:
“In a small town, gruesome killings have been plaguing the townspeople. Bodies are found torn apart and eaten. The authorities have no leads. After the death of his best friend, a young high-school football player, Brad, seeks out the help of local priest Father Damian, who is slaughtered by the killer before disclosing any information of the killings. The killer, revealed as the demon Beelzebub, sets out on a vicious killing spree to consume a steady supply of human blood in order to maintain a physical form. Brad recruits metal-head/stoner kid D.O. to assist him in his hunt for Beelzebub. Guided by the deranged, one-eyed demon hunting priest Father Lewis, the trio set out to rid their town of the demon and end its hellish conquest.”
Director Joshua Bruce reached out to me and had this to say about his upcoming film:
“There is a large quantity of footage filmed so far, but I have at least 30 to 40 more minutes to go before I can christen this movie complete. There was a brief period of production hell (very bad pun), but we’ve gotten past that and continue filming and editing. 2nd unit in Toronto starts filming on the 24th of October. It is going to be gorier than most are anticipating. The cast is larger, and the number of appearances by other indie horror filmmakers is increasing. We’ll have this bad boy done as soon as humanly possible.”
With that being said, I also had two cast member reach out to me through Joshua Bruce and had this to say. Those cast members are Kenny Geiger who plays Brad and Nick Petito who plays Father O’Neill. Check out below what they both had to say about the project:
