‘Trick ‘r Treat 2’ Has Finally Been Announced!

Trick r Treat image 6In catching up with the insane amount of horror news this Halloween week, fans of the now cult classic film Trick ‘r Treat will be overjoyed to know that it was reported a couple of days ago we will be seeing  a sequel to that film.

During a screening of that film at the Beyond Fest in Hollywood’s Egyptian Theater, there was a panel Q & A with director Michael Dougherty, producer Bryan Singer, and star Brian Cox.  During the panel, the films true star and impish mascot Sam came out and gave Dougherty a note that said, “Make a sequel.”  Dougherty then stated it’s not his call…it’s Thomas Tull from Legendary pictures call.

Then in the middle of the audience, Thomas Tull stood up and exclaimed, “I can’t say no to Sam. Let’s make a sequel!”

After that announcement the audience in attendance went crazy with glee, then the title card for Trick ‘r Treat 2 was plastered on the theater’s screen, sending the audience into ever greater fervor.

This announcement is incredibly good news since we’ve been waiting for a sequel for almost six years now.  I’m sure there will be some type of official press release on this coming in the near future, so keep it right here at Horror Society for all the latest updates on this project!
