The last time Potent Media created a short film it was the haunted journal horror, Eliza’s Diary. That short film was amazing and I’m positive Carmela Hayslett’s return to directing, Death Follows, is going to be a damn good movie as well. LANGHORNE, PA. November 16, 2013– Potent Media, the makers of Deer Crossing and the upcoming Science Fiction Thriller Apocalypse Kiss, has recently wrapped principal photography on a short film entitled, Death Follows.
The film was written and directed by Carmela Hayslett (also known as Philadelphia horror hostess Roxsy Tyler) and will be trying its luck in the festival circuit in 2014. “We make our feature films and while we’re waiting for their releases we like to keep busy by making short films,” says Hayslett.
Death Follows is a horrific drama starring Carmela Hayslett, Aimee Cassada, Dave Shaver, Bryan DeSanto, and Aimee Theresa.
Synopsis: A young woman is vulnerable to her terrible impluse to kill at any given moment. Not ever being aware of what she’s doing until after it’s done leaves her with an inability to control it. After confessing to her therapist and trying to turn herself in to the police she becomes suspicious as to why she’s never held accountable for her actions. Is she really commiting these murders or is it a question of her own psychosis?
