If you have yet to see the latest Child’s Play film, Curse of Chucky, do yourself a favor and watch it, especially the unrated version, you’ll have a hell of a fun time.  With that in mind, news has been released today from director Don Mancini’s Twitter account that we will indeed be seeing Chucky again in the seventh installment of the series.

Curse of Chucky was a great installment in the franchise that continued using the majority of the effects as practical instead of selling out and using a CG Chucky.   According to Mancini’s Tweet, we can look forward to seeing what happens to Alice from the end of Curse of Chucky in the next sequel.  We can only hope to see more of Jennifer Tilly and more of the characters we’ve grown to love.

Curse of Chucky was written and directed by Don Mancini and starred Chantal Quesnelle, Fiona Dourif, Danielle Bisutti, Maitland McConnell, Brennan Elliott, and Summer H. Howell.

Plot Synopsis

After her mother’s mysterious death, Nica begins to suspect that the talking, red-haired doll her visiting niece has been playing with may be the key to recent bloodshed and chaos.
