Seacoast Repertory Theatre is proud to announce that Let’s “B” Reel: Cult Classic Films at The Rep will screen Joe Dante’s Gremlins with special appearance by Producer Michael Finnell December 11th, 2013. In addition to the special appearance, before and after the screening there will be an exclusive exhibit of Gremlins props on display, that are exclusively on loan from Director, Joe Dante. Never before seen props include most of the “Peltzer Inventions” Including The Bathroom Buddy, various prototypes of Gremlins, and original Gremlin “skulls”. The crown jewel of this exhibit is an exceptionally rare 1984 screen-used Gremlin puppet, restored by Tom Spina and provided by private collector Richard D’Andrea.

“We are extremely excited to have key members of the film’s production team here for this special screening” says Knate Higgins, special series curator for The Rep. “It’s a geeky dream come true to meet Michael, and to see these rare and museum quality props up close and personal.” After the screening, Finnell will be on hand for an onstage interview and talk back with the audience about his work on Gremlins and as well as numerous other Dante films, in which he was the main producer on.

“We knew a while back that we wanted to screen Gremlins for our holiday screening…” says Timothy G. Fife, co-director of Let’s “B” Reel. “…most people forget that Gremlins is in fact a holiday film. We also knew that we wanted this screening to be one that no one, not even the most die-hard fan, has experienced.”

Gremlins will be screened December 11th, 2013 at 7:30pm at Seacoast Repertory Theatre. Pre-show will begin promptly at 7:30p.m. All tickets day of show are Pay What You Can and are general Admission. $15 in advance.  Seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased online at www.seacoastrep.org, in person at 125 Bow Street Portsmouth, NH 03801, or over the phone at 603.433.4472.
