Nick (Kurt Ela) is a screenwriter/ unemployed waiter struggling with his life in LA. Mary (Rachael Drummond), his wife, the breadwinner, is eight months pregnant with their second child. While Nick is a loving husband and father, something in his life is missing. Mary’s Baby Shower promises an afternoon of relief and brings old friends together again.
Tommy (Andy Hoff), freshly dumped by the woman of his dreams, Kim (Katerian Mikailenko), is desperate to get her back, but fears that ship has sailed, along with a film career that never happened. Pat (Rob Norton) and Sara (Alexandra Fatovich), former King and Queen of the Prom, are also young parents. Sara is ready for another child, but Pat, who’s struggling to make ends meet as a waiter, isn’t.
Beers are had, good times remembered and gifts are opened before the outside world comes knocking, bloodied and carrying a knife. Bit by bit, the partygoers glean that a mysterious outbreak is turning LA into a city of homicidal maniacs. Phones are dead. Power is out. The water is shut off. And the infection is spreading into the house.
This new reality, in which infected clowns roam free and murderous children stalk prey, forces Nick, Tommy and Pat to put aside what they thought were big problems and man up to protect their loved ones. Death is on their doorstep, blood is spilling and help is not coming. “Is this the end of the world?”
