We All Have Our Demons In Showtime’s ‘Penny Dreadful’ Teaser!

We’ve got a little teaser for Showtimes upcoming new horror series Penny Dreadful that will be airing next spring on the pay network.  This short video wants us all to remember that we all have our demons, don’t we?  Penny Dreadful is a frightening psychological thriller that weaves together classic horror origin stories into a new adult drama.  You can check the teaser out down below.

Penny Dreadful” is created, written, and executive produced by three-time Oscar nominee John Logan (Hugo, The Aviator, Gladiator) and executive produced by Oscar winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall) and Neal Street’s Pippa Harris (Revolutionary Road, Call the Midwife). Juan Antonio Bayona, best known for his work on the hugely successful 2007 horror film The Orphanage and the 2012 Oscar contender The Impossible, directs the first two episodes.

The cast includes Timothy Dalton as Sir Malcolm, Eva Green as Vanessa Ives, Josh Hartnett, Rory Kinnear as The Creature, Reeve Carney as Dorian Gray, Harry Treadaway as Dr. Victor Frankenstein.

Plot Synopsis

Some of literature’s most terrifying characters, including Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray and iconic figures from the novel Dracula –are lurking in the darkest corners of Victorian London. PENNY DREADFUL is a frightening psychological thriller that weaves together these classic horror origin stories into a new adult drama.
