2007 – Stuntman George Robotham, who worked on the films “The Manitou,” “Mars Attacks” and “Something Wicked This Way Comes,’ passed away at the age of 86.

2005 – Melanie Morse MacQuarrie, who appeared in the film “Prom Night” (1980), passed away at the age of 59.

2005 – John Vernon, best known for playing “Dean Wormer” in “Animal House.” He has appeared in numerous TV shows and in the films “The Uncanny” and “Curtains.” In the 60’s, he was the voice of “Prince Namor, The Sub Mariner,” “Iron Man” and “Major Glenn Talbot” for the “Marvel Superheroes” TV series. He passed away at the age of 72.

2002 – Earl Rowe, who played “Lieutenant Dave” in the original version of “The Blob,” passed away at the age of 81.

1988 – Heather O’Rourke, who starred in the “Poltergeist” films, passed away at the age of 12.

1967 – Make-up artist Ern Westmore of the famous Westmore family, passed away at the age of 62.

1966 – Comedian Buster Keaton, who appeared in the “Once Upon A Time” episode of “The Twilight Zone,” passed away at the age of 70.

1966 – Actress turned Gossip columnist, Hedda Hopper, passed away at the age of 80. She appeared in the films “Dracula’s Daughter,” “One Frightened Night” and “Topper.”

1851 – Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, who wrote the novel Frankenstein, passed away at the age of 53.
