2011 – Tura Satana, exotic dancer and actress who appeared in “Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!”, “The Astro-Zombies”, “The Doll Squad” and more.

2009 – Erick Lee Purkhiser a.k.a. Lux Interior, passed away at the age of 62. He was lead singer of the incredibly inventive punk band “The Cramps” who performed songs with such titles as “The Surfin’ Dead,” “I Was a Teenage Werewolf” and “The Creature From the Black Leather Lagoon,” obviously inspired by the horror & sci-fi genres. Their music was used in the films “Return of the Living Dead,” “The Boys Next Door” and “Boltneck.”

2007- TV staple Barbara McNair, who also appeared in the films “Paroxismus” and the TV film “Fatal Charm,” passed away at the age of 72.

2005 – Ossie Davis who played “Portifoy” in the pilot episode for “Night Gallery,” passed away at the age of 87. He also appeared in the TV mine-series “The Stand” and the starred in the film “Bubba-ho-Tep.”

2003 – Charles Biddle, who appeared in the film “Terror Train” and ” Zombie Nightmare.”

2003 – Archie Savage who appeared in the films “Space Men,” “Assignment Outer Space” and “The Claw Monsters,” passed away at the age of 88.

2002 – George Nader, who appeared in the films “Robot Monster,” “The Human Duplicators” and “Beyond Atlantis,” passed away at the age of 80.

1959 – Delightful character actress, Una O’Connor, who appeared in the films “The Invisible Man,” “Bride of Frankenstein” and “The Canterville Ghost,” passed away at the age of 78
