Monstrosity Magazine is an upcoming magazine that is “dedicated to the world of independent horror.” The magazine is going to run bi-monthly and will feature articles about some of your favorite indie films, directors, actors, actresses, etc. Each article will be written by several writers that has had years of experience in the horror game. Monstrosity will feature the writings of Ryan Stacy (director of Midsummer Nightmares, MNII: Summer’s End, and Ladies Night), Dave Parker (YouTube reviewer MrParka), Jason Limberg (writer at Demons of Celluloid), Shawn Burkett (director of Bludgeon, The Sleeping Soul, and The Way of the Buffalo), and yours truly.
The magazines first printing is aimed for a March release in hopes of having them available for HorrorHound Weekend. This is where Monstrosity needs your help. Each issue will come with a DVD filled with short films each running 20 minutes or less. If you, or someone you know, has a short that is 20 minutes or less and would like it to be on the DVD then this is your chance. Along with having your film on the DVD, the short will also have a write up inside the magazine.
Aside from that, Monstrosity is also looking for people to purchase ad space to secure future printings. The ad space is very reasonable and those of you interested can email Shawn Burkett at MonstrosityMag@gmail.com. Spread the word and support indie horror!
Is the contact email address the same for short film submissions as well as for ad space?
