‘Sharknado 2’ Casting Updates; Filming Begins Next Week!

If you’re looking for updates on Sharknado 2: The Second One, we’ve got them for you.  A couple of weeks ago, we brought you the news that Ian Ziering and Tara Reid will definitely be returning to the sequel.  Today more casting news has been announced and we’ve also learned that filming on the sequel will begin next week for a July premiere date. Find out who has been cast down below.

According to Deadline, Vivica A. Fox, Mark McGrath, Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick, Judah Friedlander, and Judd Hirsch have been cast in Sharknado 2: The Second One – set to begin production next week.

Anthony Ferrante is again directing the screenplay by Thunder Levin – this time about a freak weather system that turns its deadly fury on New York City, unleashing a “sharknado” on the city’s population and its most iconic sites, with sharknado experts Fin (Ziering) and April (Reid) the only ones able to save the city.

Now, about that Sharknado 2 casting: One of those signed will play a New York City police officer. Another will play a friend of Fin’s who goes by the name Skye. One will play a flight attendant. Another will portray a taxi driver.  Still another will play Fin’s brother-in- law. And someone will play someone named Brian.

Vivvica A. Fox will play Fin’s old high school friend, Skye.

Mark McGrath will play Fin’s brother-in-law.

Kelly Osbourne will play the flight attendant.

Andy Dick will play the police officer.

Judah Friedlander is set to play Brian.

Judd Hirsch plays the taxi driver, naturally.
