Everyone that reads my posts knows that I have a soft spot for slashers. I will watch any slasher I can find but I personally prefer the pre-Scream slashers before they were self aware. That brings me to the upcoming slasher flick, The Wicked One. This film is set to be released in October of this year and will star Katie Stewart, Jack Norman, and Russ Croley. Those of you may remember Jack Norman from my posts for production company Studio 605 where he is a member. He is also the man behind the upcoming Friday the 13th fan film, Friday the 13th: Curse of Jason.

The Wicked One is a 2014 Thriller/ Suspense/ Slasher Film being produced by Jonestown Films and Silver Chain Films. The film respects the formula and rules of genre classics but seeks to carve it’s own path of brutality and madness onto the horror scene by introducing the character of “THE WICKED ONE” The film is based upon a script written by Tory Jones who has stated this is a departure from other blood and gore films done in the state of Kentucky. The movie takes place in the fictional town of Echo Falls and follows a young girl seeking answers as to why she’s plagued by visions and dreams of a scary entity in a stitched burlap mask.
