‘The Conjuring 2’ Gets a Release Date!

The Conjuring image

You know how successful last summer’s monster horror hit The Conjuring was for Warner Bros., and we reported a while back that the studio was planning a sequel.  The exceptional horror film directed by James Wan pulled in an astonishing $318 million worldwide box office from a production budget of a paltry $20 million, I’d say that’s quite a take.  Warner Bros. today has announced release dates for several of their upcoming films, including the tentatively titled The Conjuring 2 and a yet unnamed horror film.  Read on below for the exact dates.

Deadline is reporting, The Conjuring 2 is slated for a October 23rd, 2015 date.  The sequel to last summer’s horror hit The Conjuring is slated for the 2015 trick-or-treat season, a week after Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak begins its Halloween haunt.

Warner Bros has set a theatrical debut for the untitled New Line Horror Film for October 3rd, 2014.  Seeing how the film is set to be released later this year, it begs to wonder why it’s untitled so far.  There is some speculation as to what the film might be, possibly a Conjuring spinoff? Who knows.
