Horror Society supports all indie horror and when we were approached with news about the upcoming film Curtain we had to share it. The film is a “Twilight Zone-style” horror flick that has recently started a crowdfunding campaign through Kickstarter. You can read below what the Kickstarter page has to say about the film:
CURTAIN is an independent horror feature film shot by a crew of just four people in New York City and the woods of New Jersey. It’s a Twilight Zone-style story about a burnt-out nurse who moves into a new apartment in search of a simpler life. But when her shower curtains begin to disappear through a mysterious portal she discovers there’s no such thing as simple in this world…or any other.
GOOD NEWS: THE MOVIE IS SHOT!
BAD NEWS: THE FILMMAKERS ARE BROKE!
After spending our entire personal savings to create Curtain, we have run out of money and have been forced back into our day jobs. As much fun as it would be to live off a diet of only ramen noodles until we save enough money for post-production YOU could help raise $20,000 NOW!
THE PLAN
Once $20,000 is achieved we’ll carve into the meat of post-production. A handful of highly skilled professionals (who need to be paid) are ready and waiting to tackle:
- RESHOOTS
- COLOR GRADING
- VISUAL EFFECTS
- SOUND DESIGN/MIXING
- ORIGINAL SCORING
Those that contribute have the chance of receiving some great prizes. You can contribute and browse the perks by heading over to Kickstarter. Check it out and support indie horror!
