Saturday afternoon promoting the upcoming
Walker Stalker Convention’s inaugural event in Chicagoland
Straight from the pages of a post-apocalypse novel, zombies will invade Rosemont this Saturday afternoon, March 8, promoting the Chicago Walker Stalker Convention, which takes place March 14-16 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
A “Zombie Shamble” will commence at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare at 3pm, with the undead shuffling through the Rosemont Entertainment District, spreading the word about the convention as well as instilling fears and chills to unsuspecting “victims.” A gathering at the Five Roses Pub will follow with an all-ages “Zombie Hour” from 4-6pm. The public is invited to join in on the fun, where photo opportunities with zombies (compliments of Chicago Zombie), drawings for convention passes, and other activities will be offered.
The Walker Stalker Con is a unique event for fans by fans. The convention originated with James Frazier and Eric Nordhoff, founders and hosts of the podcast hit, The Walker Stalkers, which focuses on the AMC hit series, The Walking Dead. The three-day extravaganza features vendors, panel discussions, a “Zombie Bash” party, music concert, and meet & greet opportunities with members of the show’s cast and crew as well as other zombie, horror and sci-fi celebrities of film and television.
