Crimson Screen Horror Film Festival Announces Official Selections!

The Crimson Screen Horror Film Festival will shine a special spotlight on film makers from South Carolina as well as short and feature length films from all across America and even as far as Italy. The two day festival will screen almost 40 different films, and vendors, Q&As, and an awards ceremony will be available to the public during this event. OFFICIAL SELECTIONS ANNOUNCED FOR THE 1ST ANNUAL
CRIMSON SCREEN HORROR FILM FESTIVAL

The Crimson Screen Horror Film Festival has announced their list of OFFICIAL SELECTIONS for the first annual horror film festival taking place April 19th and 20th at the Sterett Hall Auditorium in North Charleston. Filmmakers and horror fans will be screaming and shrieking in delight during the two day event featuring short and feature length horror films from all over the globe.

This competitive film festival features the newest independent horror films from all over the world, and also has special recognition for South Carolina produced films and filmmakers. “We are truly an international film festival, even though our name does not reflect that” says festival director and South Carolina filmmaker Tommy Faircloth. “Being from South Carolina myself, I am thrilled that unlike many local film festivals, we shine a special spotlight on films and filmmakers from South Carolina. From the novice and student filmmakers, to the professional, we want to encourage those everyone who loves horror movies to continue to do what they like to do.”

Advance discounted tickets are currently available online at www.crimsonscreenfilmfest.com for the two day event and they can also be purchased at the venue on the day of the event. Daily or two day passes are available.

There are a total of 39 new horror features films and shorts that will be screened during the weekend event. Filmmakers from all over the USA and Europe and vendors will have tables and booths set up during the event selling all types of horror merchandise such as films and posters, as well as meet and greets with the filmmakers and actors of the films showcased.

The film festival starts at 10:00 am on Saturday April 19th and will show films until 8pm Saturday night. On Sunday, April 20th the festival will continue at 10:00 am and will end at 6pm after an awards ceremony recognizing the best films, actors, directors, special effects, and audience choice awards.

Some lucky filmmakers and actors will walk away with the coveted “Crimmy” award! Categories included are: Best Feature, Best Short, Best Director, Best Actor (short and feature), Best Actress (short and feature), Best Cinematography, Best Special Effects (short and feature), Best Produced Screenplay (short and feature), Audience Choice Award (short and feature), and the Homegrown Horror Award for best project produced in South Carolina.
