Lloyd Kaufman and Troma sure has been busy lately with the release of Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1 (read my review here). Lately Lloyd has scheduled a number of convention appearances including one this weekend at Cinema Wasteland. Today Horror Society received the following press release about his appearance this weekend. Check it out below:
This weekend Ohio officially
becomes “TRO-hio” as Troma President and creator of the “Toxic Avenger,” Lloyd Kaufman,
returns to attend the Cinema Wasteland Movie & Memorabilia Expo and to Premiere
his latest film “Return to Nuke ‘Em High: Vol. 1”, in two different cities – Cleveland
Heights and Columbus!Beginning on Friday April 4th, Lloyd Kaufman will be attending Cinema Wasteland
weekend at the Holiday Inn in Strongsville, Ohio. The legendary auteur and filmmaker
will be available along with Toxie for FREE Photo Opportunities and to sign any
and all of your favorite Tromabilia for absolutely no charge for the whole weekend.
On Saturday, “Return to Nuke ‘Em High: Vol. 1” stars Asta Paredes and Clay von
Carlowitz will be joining them at the Troma table.Saturday night April 5th, just a few minutes down the road from Cinema Wasteland,
the Cedar Lee Theater will host the Official Cleveland Heights Premiere of “Return
to Nuke ‘Em High: Vol. 1” with two Exclusive Screenings at 9:30pm and at Midnight.
Director Lloyd Kaufman, Toxie, and film stars Asta Paredes and Clay von Carlowitz
will attend the screenings with fans, participate in a crowd-interactive Q & A sessions
after the film, and will be available to sign any and all Troma merch and take photos
for Free.Then on Sunday night April 6th, when Cinema Wasteland winds down, Lloyd Kaufman
and “New Jersey’s First Super Hero” will return to our home in Columbus, Ohio the
Gateway Film Center to Premiere to unveil his new Tro-Masterpiece, “Return to Nuke
‘Em High: Vol. 1” at 8pm. Stop by the Troma table in the lobby after the Q & A session
and say farewell to Lloyd and Toxie as they wrap up their weekend in Ohio and head
back to Tromaville.Tickets are available NOW at the box office and online for all shows.
