1999 – Writer/director Howard Cohen, whose credit’s include the films “Saturday the 14th,” “The Vampire Hookers” and “Space Raiders,” passed away at the age of 56.

1996 – Herk Harvey, the producer/director and star of “Carnival of Souls” passed away at the age of 71.

1944 – Silent screen star Conrad Veidt, who starred in the films “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari,” “Der Januskopf,” and “The Man Who Laughs,” passed away at the age of 50.
