2010 – Michael Pataki, he appeared in “The Andromeda Strain”, “The Return of Count Yorga”, “Grave of the Vampire”, “The Bat People”, “Dracula’s Dog”, “Love at First Bite”, “Dead & Buried”, “Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers” and so many more. He passed away at 72.

2008 – Scream Queen, the eternally beautiful Hazel Court, passed away at the age of 82. Her numerous genre starring roles included “Dr. Blood’s Coffin,” “Masque of the Red Death” and her first, “Curse of Frankenstein.”

2004 – Mitsuteru Yokoyama, who wrote for the TV series’ “Gigantor” and “Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot,” passed away at the age of 69.

2001 – Joey Ramone, lead singer of punk pioneers The Ramones, passed away at the age of 49. Their music has appeared in numerous movies including “House of 1000 Corpses,” “Final Destination 3,” “Idle Hands” and the title song for “Pet Sematary.”

1999 – Al Nesor who played “Stobo” in “Santa Claus Conquers The Martians,” passed away at the age of 88.

1997 – Carlos Enrique Taboada who wrote the screen plays for such Mexican horror classics as “The Monster Demolisher,” “Orlak, The Hell Of Frankenstein,” and “The Curse of Notrodamus,” passed away at the age of 67.

1980 – Raymond Bailey who is most well known for playing “Milburn Drysdale” on the TV series “Beverly Hillbillies,” passed away at the age of 75. His film work included “Tarantula,” ” The Space Children,” “Black Friday,” and “The Incredible Shrinking Man.”

1980 – His co-star in “The Incredible Shrinking Man,” Paul Langton, also passed on the same day, at the age of 66, two days before his birthday on April 17. His other films included “Invisible Invaders,” “It The Terror From Beyond Space,” and “The Cosmic Man.”

1927 – Gaston Leroux, author of “The Phantom Of The Opera,” passed away at the age of 58.
