Releasing on VOD by Gravitas Ventures on April 29th, the film marks a return to the horror genre for Deliá, who is recognized by fans around the world for her starring role in the successful indie horror hit, “The Tunnel,” which originally premiered in Los Angeles at Screamfest.

Directed by Michael Budd, “Love of My Life” follows the story of a young man being held captive by a deranged surgeon and given the choice of surviving five days of torture to save the life of the woman he loves, or to order her killed and be set free. Deliá stars alongside Diarmid Heidenreich (“Underbelly”) as the tortured couple with Peter O’Brien (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine”) as their tormentor.

In preparing for the physical demands of the role, Deliá trained in the combat sport of Muay Thai by Master Instructor Hanshi Ian Pollet and his wife Angelique Pollet, who have over 40 years’ experience in the martial arts industry. “The fight training added an exciting aspect to the psychological side of the character. It adds an intensity that was fascinating to explore,” Deliá explains.

This Aussie powerhouse has built a solid resume in acting and producing, earning Deliá fans and accolades around the world. For her on-camera work, she was awarded Best Actress at the international festival Tropfest, whose judges included Elijah Wood, Toni Collette and the Spierig Brothers (“Daybreakers”). Behind the scenes as a producer, Deliá has put her skills to work in a number of areas such as Television, Commercial, Film and Documentary, including the awarded “The Battle of Long Tan.”

Under her Deliá Films banner, she has several projects in-development, including two which will team her up with the talented filmmaking duo The BAPartists (Cezil Reed & Lydelle Jackson), as an actress and a producer. In addition to artistic ventures, Deliá is also very passionate about her ongoing charity project, The Bill and Penny Drive, supporting eradicating homelessness.
