Now I know what you are thinking… Pokemon really?

The Japanese RPG that is cute and harmless. The game originally targeted to children ages 5-12 but actually children to adult are captivated by it. (Yes even I love this game) Secretly the franchise has hidden many things in the game over time that you may find disturbing.

● On December 16, 1997 an episode of the show aired in japan and due to the frame rate of the episode and the bright flashing lights caused 685 children to have seizures and like symptoms. The episode has been banned due to the risk it holds.

● Many parents and the organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) believe the game teaches children to abuse animals and promotes animal violence. PETA has created parodys of the game.

● Some of the Pokemon in the game have been described to have dark motives. One in particular is a Pokemon called Hypno. The game has a feature that give a fact about the Pokemon you capture. Hypno’s in one game talks about how it feeds on children’s dreams and sometimes with even kidnaps children by hypnotizing them.

● Another Pokemon with dark motives is one called Banette. Banette is a discarded children’s doll that has come to life and seeks revenge on the children that have abandoned them.

● In Pokemon red and blue (generation 1) there is a town in the game called lavender town has an eerie theme in contrast to the upbeat themes in the other towns. Also it is home to the pokemon tower which is a graveyard for deceased Pokemon and home to ghosts in the game. Due to this location, alot myths have been created some that have been famous from the website Creepypasta.
