Noted Graphic Novelist (Spirit Window, Undercover Clown) turned Writer/Director; Devin Hylton has just finished Principle Photography on his first feature film, Lost Creek.
Lost Creek is fantasy/drama that involves Ollie Marks who, after being tied up in a low key money laundering scam, murders his boss. Unsure what to do or where to go, he mysteriously gets an invitation to be a participant, along with three other people all on the cusp of turning 40 years old. They are to hike a mythical trail where the winner would get a chance to swim in the infamous “Lost Creek” and gain immortality. Ollie, realizing he is going on the run regardless, accepts the challenge. Soon the fantasy world he is hiking and the reality of the world he has left behind begins to violently overlap. If he is to be remembered for anything in his life, Ollie Marks finds himself in a race against time and a race against himself.
The cast includes veteran Kentucky independent film actor Stacey Gillespie, as well as nationally known performance Artist Travis Fessler of the famed, “Pickle Brothers Circus.” Other talents include veteran Shakespearean actor, Mark Smith, Actress Shannon Hunt, Actor Terrence Ticheno, Actor Casey Miracle and many other wonderful talents behind and in front of the camera.
Edgewaterfilms was founded in 2012 by Writer/Director Devin Hylton. The mission statement was simple, do imaginative and High Concept narratives that are commercial and mainstream accessible but give the viewer something that is out of the norm. Edgewater Films believes that in a desert of cliché horror, comedies and zombie films, there is still a marketplace for writers and filmmakers that do things differently and leave an indelible mark.
