Galactic Film Festival Announces Awards Show and Screening

For SciFi and Fantasy lovers of all ages, the Galactic Film Fest to be held at Frida Cinema will feature movies, television shows, art exhibits and an Awards Show, for nominees in all categories including: Best Picture and a very special Lifetime Achievement Award.

All day screening events begin at 11AM Saturday.  Special events and guest appearances will begin promptly at 12PM. The Festival supports independent filmmakers from across the globe, bringing them together for this “Two night only event.” Special celebrity guests will be announced.

The first ever, Galactic Film Festival was created in 2013 by LJ Rivera III, Founder of The Academy of Film Festivals, who established the festival to honor and enrich the lives of those either directly or indirectly involved in the SciFi/Fantasy genre of film. As the momentum of the festival grows (including networking events) so does the company. With a team of dedicated filmmakers, writers and producers, Galactic Film Festival is the only one of its kind.

From modeling to acting, directing to production design, music to dance, Galactic Film Fest is all about looking for the entertainment stars of tomorrow. As a new indie film festival, Galactic puts its client’s face to face with the industry’s hottest connections through a socialized process, fostering the right exposure to the right individuals in the entertainment arena. Networking the filmmaker, and film distributor to the film watcher. Galactic Film Festival is not a national convention, contest, or showcase that promises everything to everyone while delivering nothing to most. Galactic is a new indie fest, and a division of the Academy of Film Festivals,“representing & awarding future filmmakers and festivals today”
