FreddyLastTime

This August iconic horror film star Robert Englund will don the outfit, prop, and make-up that made him a legend one last time.

It was announced last night that Robert Englund will be signing autographs and taking pictures at Illinois’ Flashback Weekend in two months. Not only that, but a special photo-op is being offered with Englund as Freddy Krueger. This is apparently the last time he will do this for fans.

For $365 (only $365..wtf???) you will get ONE photo with Englund as Freddy Krueger, ONE weekend pass, ONE entry into “Friday Night Frights Live,” a stage show featuring Robert as Freddy, and ONE limited edition photo-op lanyard.

And, Robert, the great gentleman that he is, is doing this all for charity. All proceeds from the photo-op will go towards Flashback Weekends ultimate goal, “Flashback Weekend exists to support the preservation of the Midway Drive-In theater (located in Dixon, IL), and any net proceeds from our convention go to repair, upgrade, costs of operations, and horror film fest programming at the Midway Drive-In.  We are dedicated to the preservation of the institution of the American Drive-In Theater, and we are proud to support the theatrical film industry by showing first-run films and classic horror films and paying film rentals and royalties back to the film makers and film studios.”

Robert Englund has played slasher Freddy Krueger in every film from A Nightmare on Elm Street in 1984 to Freddy vs. Jason in 2003.
