2001 – Composer James Bernard who scored many Hammer horror films, passed away at the age of 75.

1973 – The legendary Lon Chaney Jr. passed away at the age of 67. He played all the monsters in Universal’s arsenal, including The Wolf Man, The Mummy, Dracula, Frankenstein and many more. He will forever be known for his role of “Lawrence Talbot” in “The Wolf Man”, “Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man”, “House of Frankenstein”, “House of Dracula”, “Bud Abbott Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein.” He also starred in “The Ghost of Frankenstein”, “The Mummy’s Tomb”, “Son of Dracula” and so many more films.
