2006 – Prolific character actor Mako passed away at the age of 72. Besides appearing on numerous episodes of M*A*S*H, he also starred in “Robo Cop 3” “Conan The Barbarian,” “Conan The Destroyer” and provided the voice of Splinter” in the 2007 version of “TMNT.”

2004 – Composer Jerry Goldsmith, whose film scores include the 1999 versions of The Haunting,” “The Mummy” and “The Star Trek” films, passed away ath the age of 75.

1996 – Luana Anders, appeared in such films as “Night Tide”, “Pit and the Pendulum”, “Dementia 13”, “The Outer Limits (TV Series)”, “Doppelganger.” She was 58.

1967 – The one and only Basil Rathbone, who starred as “The Son of Frankenstein,” “Sherlock Holmes” and in the numerous films such as “The Black Sleep” and “Tales of Terror,” passed away at the age of 75.

1948 – Film Pioneer D.W. Griffith, passed away at the age of 73. He was the uncredited director of the film “One Million B.C.”
