In the second bit of Sam Raimi news today coming out of the San Diego Comic Con, while speaking about the videogame feature adaptation of The Last Of Us, Raimi (pictured) let slip that he was working on an Evil Dead television series and is bringing Bruce Campbell along for the ride. Get more details below.
Raimi had this to say about the subject: “I always loved working on that series with Bruce Campbell and Rob Tapert, and my brother and I are writing the Evil Dead TV show right now … with Bruce Campbell.”
Unfortunately, that’s really all the details we have right now on the series but expect more to come in the coming months. With Raimi, his brother Ivan, and Campbell involved, I’m sure it will stay true to the mythos set down in the original film and I look forward to seeing what they can do with it and how they will explore this in a TV format.
