Legendary Courting Joe Cornish To Direct ‘Skull Island’!

It was only a few days ago at Comic-Con that Legendary Pictures revealed their plans to continue with the King Kong saga by making a new origins film entitled Skull Island. Today word has come out the studio is courting Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) to direct the pic. Read on for more details.

According to Deadline, Legendary Pictures wowed the crowd in Hall H by unveiling Skull Island, a new feature by Godzilla scribe Max Borenstein based on the mythic origins of King Kong, where mutant giant creatures rule. They set a November 4, 2016, release and are wasting no time staffing up.

They have offered the directing job to Joe Cornish (pictured below) No word yet as to if Cornish will accept the offer due to the fact he has been offered big films since his breakthrough film Attack the Block. We will have to wait and see what happens when all is panned out.
