Micro Bay Features Drops ‘House of Manson’ Trailer!

houseofmansonHoly shit! Holy shit! I don’t even care that I’m cursing in a public article right now! House of Manson is going to be epic!

Everyone’s heard the true story of Charles Manson, the cult leader made famous because of the Sharon Tate Murders. During our freshman year of college my sister and I had a phase where we read up on a lot of the most notorious slayings and murderers in American history. As sick as it sounds, Charles Manson was always the most interesting fellow to me. The thing that set him apart from most people associated with brutal mass homicides is Charlie never really took part in a lot of it, he just gave orders and people followed. His soul was the darkest shade imaginable, but his mind… It’s said a lot of the worst human beings on record were absolute geniuses. It’s going to be intense seeing Charlie’s mind brought to life in such a brutal way.

Speaking of geniuses, I’m so glad that Brandon Slagle was the one to tackle House of Manson. He is one of the most talented directors in the independent horror game and he can make any film look like a million bucks. He also has a long track record of high quality films with depth and progression that secure distribution deals as seen with Area 51 Confidential, The Black Dahlia Haunting, and Dead Sea. Slagle is an absolute genius in his field of work, and he has one of the best eyes for casting. While they are part of the inner circle, Devanny Pinn as Susan Atkins and Ryan Kiser as Charles Manson are perfect choices. Not only do they look related to the real madmen, but they sound like them, too. And let me not forget to mention that Suzi Lorraine as Sharon Tate is spot on. This is part of the reason why I’m so excited for House of Manson. It looks so…real.

Other cast members starring alongside Devanny Pinn, Ryan Kiser, and Suzi Lorraine include Erin Marie Hogan (Axeman at Cutter’s Creek, Hold Your Breath), Tristan Risk (American Mary, Save Yourself), Trish Cook (Toxic Avenger III, Super Shark), Tawny Amber Young (“Rock of Love,” Dead Sea), Jennifer Woods (“Talent Watch”), Britt Griffith (“Ghost Hunters,” The Black Dahlia Haunting), Chriss Anglin (Dracula’s Curse, Dead Men Walking), and many more.

House of Manson is due out sometime in 2015. At this point, all I can say to Micro Bay Features and Brandon Slagle is…take my money, just take my money. I cannot wait to check this out and I’m excited for whatever teasers come in the following months.
