Carolyn Purdy-Gordon was born in 1947 in Michigan. One of her first gigs – and her only television gig – was a single episode of the short lived “E/R” in 1984. After that, she stuck to horror and scifi features, mostly because she had married Stuart Gordin in 1968 and he put her in the majority of his movies.
Her many leading and supporting roles in horror and scifi features include Re-Animator (1985), From Beyond (1986), Dolls (1987), and The Pit and the Pendulum remake (1991). Her cameos and smaller roles include Robot Jox (1989), The Arrival (1991), Fortress (1992), Castle Freak (1995), and Space Truckers (1996).
So, where is Carolyn Purdy-Gordon now?
She briefly left the film industry for eight years for unknown reasons. However, she returned in the middle of the 00s decade…as a caterer. Yes, a caterer. Carolyn worked with different productions – mostly with David DeCoteau involved – on titles such as Ring of Darkness (2004), Scarecrow Slayer (2004), Legion of the Dead (2005), Killjoy Goes to Hell (2012), and Gingerdead Man vs. Evil Bong (2013). She also restarted her acting career in 2007 with a supporting role in the drama Stuck and short film The Sailor (2011). After that, she resumed her career as a horror actress with a small part in Snow White: A Deadly Summer (2012) and a lead role in M is for Mormon Missionaries (2013).
