The horror community has seen it’s own take on the ice bucket challenge with horror icons such as Tim Burton, Chainsaw Sally, and Danielle Harris all doing the challenge. We even had the great Carrie spoof from the Foo Fighters. Now, the challenge has inspired a new film from director Jason Crowe. Vengeance is a dish best served cold.
We’ve been bombarded with the Ice Bucket Challenges. We’ve laughed at the FAILS. Now we’ll run from it’s HORROR! Revenge is a dish best served COLD!
The Ice Bucket Challenge Horror movie (a working title) is brought to you by the crazy minds of Jason Crowe, Roni Jonah and Dustin Mills. IBC will have all the crazy gory/naked elements of a DUSTIN MILLS project mixed with the fast paced editing style and quirky acting of JASON CROWE and a script full of clever and grotesque wit by RONI JONAH. The film will stars Jason Crowe, Brandon Salkil, Roni Jonah, Erin R. Ryan, Megan Hunt and will feature cameos by Ellie Church and Brian Williams!
THE STORY
The story is centered around Bo, a mentally handicap young man who is horribly disfigured when a group of bullies force him to do the Ice Bucket Challenge. After the accident, BO is left for dead. The ice running through Bo’s veins begins to change him. Smarter. Stronger. Endowed with the power of ice, a new challenge begins. An icy path of revenge. A dish best served cold!
THE CAMPAIGN
The IndieGoGo campaign allows YOU to be a part of the film in many ways. Including the ability to create the KILL SCENES for some of the films stars! See the ART OF THE KILL section for info on that. Not only that but you can also be a victim in the film, become a producer and receive props from the film! Not to mention portions of the funding will be donated to ALS.
THE GOAL
The minimum GOAL is $700. That goal will get us the minimum SPFX for the creature fx of the films icy star, some of the SPFX for the kill scenes and food, gas and lodging for the actors of the film… Portions of the funding will go to the ALS foundation. At minimum we’ll send $100 of the $700 goal to be donated. Every dollar we make during the campaign will go directly into making IBC a better film. Every additional dollar we make past our initial goal will help us immensely for the film and for charity. We will be able to put more resources into SPFX- set design and paying our actors and crew what they deserve! Not to mention more towards donations.
STRETCH GOALS:
Hit $1,000: and everyone will receive a digital copy of the soundtrack featuring DEAD DICK HAMMER.
Hit $1,500: Everyone will receive a copy of the slasher in the woods double feature, The Legacy. A film full of boobs, blood and brutality! The final film of the Legacy will be filmed directly after IBC is complete. You’ll also have access to the exclusive “The Legacy” part 2’s behind the scenes snapchat when filming begins.
Hit $2,000: Everyone will receive a digital download of the violent, cerebral horror “The Devil Next Door”. Due to film directly after the sequel to the Legacy is finished. You’ll also receive exclusive access to the behind the scenes snapchat when filming begins.
ART OF THE KILL
Limited to 6. As people sign up we will give each of you a synopsis of the scene, told what your specific character is doing right before the kill (e.g. sleeping, running, having sex etc…), the location (e.g. The woods, the freezer etc…), the elements/props and weapons used/available (e.g. machete, axe, ice pick etc…). With all this information you will create a death scene for ONE character. Perhaps one is sliced in half with an ice machete. Or they impaled in the eye by an icicle or thrown into a vat of liquid nitrogen! Or all 3! The choice is yours as long as it works within the scene and we’re capable of pulling it off. We are here to help you and guide you.
Sadly, I am not familiar with Jason Crowe or his body of work but I am a dedicated Dustin Mills fan so I support this project. With that being said, I would probably support this project anyway because it just sounds amazing! Check out the IGG for the film and be sure to contribute so this film can be amazing!
