Production wrapped on Potent Media’s Sugar Skull Girls a few months ago, but now the team behind-the-scenes are releasing a fresh batch of stills for all of us horror fans to look at. Now, in the past, Potent Media has pulled off some pretty sick and demented things, but Sugar Skull Girls is the first feature film under the production company to be aimed at a younger teen audience. I kind of picture it like Hocus Pocus, more fun and science fiction than in your face horror craziness. You’ll see what I mean when you catch the stills at the bottom of this post.
Potent Media’s Sugar Skull Girls is written and directed by Christian Jude Grillo, who was formerly the captain on titles such as Deer Crossing and Apocalypse Kiss. It stars Addy Miller (“The Walking Dead”), Carmela Hayslett (“Roxsy Tyler’s Carnival of Horrors”), Cece Hagen, Isabella Sobejano, and Anika Buchanan. It will also feature appearances from John Amplas (Creepshow, Day of the Dead), Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes, Weird Science), and Leslie Easterbrook (The Devil’s Rejects, Rob Zombie’s Halloween).
Potent Media’s Sugar Skull Girls will be hotly anticipated and released in 2015.
