DESCENSION tells the story of Darren, a recovering drug addict. Over the course of one counseling session, Darren attempts to convince his psychologist that his terrifying hallucinations are not the result of relapse, but a demonic presence.
My goal was to combine modern, tech-based plot elements with the fun and chilling atmosphere of 80’s horror. I knew tone was vitally important to the success of the film, so I made sure the music and slow-burn narrative all contributed to an overall sense of dread.
I spent nearly a year working on the project, serving as writer, producer, and director. I also handled the entire post -production process myself, including the edit, sound mix, and visual effects.
We recently found out that our short film was selected accepted into the International Student Film Festival -Hollywood! I put together this short teaser to give a little taste of the horrific events that plague our main character.
Having finally completed DESCENSION, I’m beginning work on several other horror projects that will push my boundaries both production-wise and creatively.
