OBITUARY Premieres Second Track From Upcoming Album!

When you talk about pioneering death metal bands, only a few names come to mind and one of them is Obituary. The band has a new album entitled “Inked In Blood” set to be released on October 28th, 2014 in North America via Relapse Records. The second track to be heard from the new album has been released by the band. You can check out ‘Violence’ down below.

Death metal legends OBITUARY make their Relapse debut with Inked In Blood, their 9th full length LP. Inked in Blood will be released October 28th in North America (UK/World October 27th and Germany/Benelux/Finland on October 24th) via Relapse Records. Almost three decades in, Inked In Blood stands out as one of the finest moments in OBITUARY’s already godlike discography.

So far only one song has been heard by the public from Inked in Blood today that will change as Metal Sucks is hosting an exclusive premiere of the second single from the new album “Violence”. Check out the stream HERE,

Inked in Blood is available for pre-order from Relapse Records HERE and via iTunes HERE. The album will be released on CD/Deluxe CD/2xLP/Digital/Deluxe Digital. The limited edition, one time press deluxe CD includes two exclusive bonus songs and is packaged in a 3D embossed digipak along with a die-cut album cover sticker. The bonus songs, available on the deluxe CD and digital verisons, are two classic tracks (“Intoxicated” and “Bloodsoaked”), from ‘Slowly We Rot’, re-recorded this year live out of Morrisound Studios in Tampa, FL and engineered by legendary death metal producer Jim Morris. A special vinyl color will be available exclusively via each of the following means: North American Indie Stores, Florida record stores, Relapse.com and for Kickstarter backers.

The first song from Inked in Blood entitled “Visions in My Head” can be heard on Sound Cloud and YouTube. The song is now available as an instant grat track and is available for immediate download when the album is pre-ordered on iTunes. “Visions in My Head” is also available as a digital single HERE.

In support of their new album, OBITUARY will be hitting the road this fall. They will begin with an appearance at East Coast Tsunami in Reading, PA on September 27th. Following those dates, OBITUARY hits the road with Carcass, Exhumed and Noisem from October 28th through November 9th. Then after a quick break the band will provide direct support for the upcoming “Death to All” Tour. The tour kicks off November 14th in Los Angeles, CA and runs through December 7th in Miami, FL. The band has also been confirmed for 2015 edition of Maryland Deathfest. A complete list of dates can be found below.

In more OBITUARY tour news, the band has announced a European tour for early 2015. The tour features support from Empire of Evil and Dustbolt. The tour kicks off January 15th in Essen, Germany and wraps up February 1st in London England.
