Stay Hidden. Stay Quiet. Stay Alive.
New Stills Released from Refuge

Refuge is premiering at Screamfest LA on October 18th and Toronto After Dark on October 22nd. We’re just days away from the premiere, so director Andrew Robertson sent me some exclusive, new stills to share with all the readers at HorrorSociety.com! This film looks BEAUTIFULLY shot, by the way.

Refuge centers around a family trying to survive in the ruins of a collapsed America in the wake of a catastrophic plague, struggling to rebuild their lives in a boarded up abandoned house while trying to maintain a sense of normalcy for their eight-year-old daughter ‘Birdie’ (Eva Grace Kellner of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”) amidst a lawless world of roaming gangs and dwindling resources. The mother, father, daughter, and older neighbor do their best to survive on what little rations they can scavenge from the surrounding areas. One day, during a scavenging run, ‘Jack’ (Carter Roy of ABC’s “Castle”), comes across an injured man and offers him refuge in their home. With this new addition, the family soon finds that taking him in may have been a huge mistake. The dark and lush soundtrack, scored by famed Swedish duo Carbon Based Lifeforms makes the film all the more effectively disturbing.
