1969 – Brooke Theiss, starred in “A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master” as the girl who turned into a cockroach. She also starred in the sitcoms “Growing Pains (TV Series)” and “Just the Ten of Us (TV Series)” with fellow Nightmare alum Heather Langenkamp.

1959 – Actor/writer/director Sam Raimi. He directed such films as “The Evil Dead”, “Evil Dead II”, “Army of Darkness”, “Darkman”, “Drag Me to Hell” and a few small films like “Spider-Man 1-3”.

1936 – Philip Kaufman who directed the 1978 remake of “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.” Along with George Lucas, he wrote the story on which the “Raiders of the Lost Ark” screenplay was based.

1931 – Diana Dors who appeared in the films “Berserk,” “Theatre of Blood” and “From Beyond the Grave.”

1922 – Coleen Gray who starred in “The Leech Woman,” “Phantom Planet” and “The Vampire.”

1918 – James Daly (father of Tyne Daly) who appeared in “Planet of the Apes” and “The Resurrection of Zachary Wheeler.”

1918 – Peggy Moran who appeared in the films “The Mummy’s Hand” and “Horror Island.” She passed away on October 24, 2002, the day after her 84 birthday.

1910 – Hayden Rorke best known for playing “Colonel Bellows” on the TV series “I Dream of Jeannie” and who also appeared in the films “The Night Walker” and “When Worlds Collide.”

1880 – Character actress Una O’Connor, who has appeared in such classic films as “The Invisible Man,” “The Bride of Frankenstein” and “The Canterville Ghost.”
