1994 – Noah Beery Jr., who appeared in the films “The 7 Faces of Dr. Lao” and “The Cat Creeps,” passed away at the age of 81.

1982 – King Vidor, who directed the black and white sequences of “The Wizard of Oz,” passed away at the age of 88.

1955 – George McCowan, who directed for many TV series including “The Invaders,” “War of the Worlds,” and the movie “Frogs,” passed away at the age of 68.
