Special Effects Legend Shaune Harrison Seeking Extra Funds for Short Film, The Box.

1470210_625473387561369_5589559430287330395_nShaune Harrison is one of the biggest special effects people in the game. He’s worked on everything including Waxwork II (1992), Hellraiser III (1992), Children of the Corn II (1992), The Fifth Element (1997), From Hell (2001), Star Wars: Episode II (2002), Harry Potter IV – VII (2005-2011), Captain America (20011), “Merlin” (2013), World War Z (2013), and “Game of Thrones” 2014. I’m highlighting all of Harrison’s most noteworthy credits because he is so deserving of a little extra backing, and more-so he’s not looking for much to complete his next short film, The Box. The perks are affordable and fun, and they go towards helping someone who truly has a lot of talent. I’d wish Harrison and Carl Whiteley the best of luck, but I don’t think they’re going to need it. I have a feeling they will hit their goal very soon!

Once in a lifetime opportunity to work with
Hollywood special effects makeup legend Shaune Harrison!

Hollywood prosthetic makeup artist, Shaune Harrison, is shooting his next short film here in Manchester and offering the public the chance to be a producer on the film.

Shaune, an award winning film maker, is due to shoot his next short film in Manchester and is turning to Kickstarter to raise the funds. Shaune’s prosthetic makeup career has seen him work on some of the biggest films ever made including creating make up for Voldemort from Harry Potter and Red Skull from Captain America.

Shaune is looking at raising £1,000 to make the short psychological thriller called ‘The Box’ and already has a top name attached. “At this stage I can’t say who is playing the main character, but he is a very well known British actor”

Shaune has written and will be directing, and local film maker Carl Whiteley will be producing the film. “I recently worked with Shaune on a short film of mine and had a great time. When Shaune came to me with this project I jumped at the chance to work with him again, and after reading the script knew that this will be a great little film.”

Shaune and the crew are all working on this project for free and are looking at raising £1,000 on Kickstarter to cover the costs of basics, such as feeding the cast and crew, camera hire, insurance etc. There are numerous rewards for backers, ranging from signed scripts to a day at Shane’s Manchester based makeup academy. “Anyone backing over £200 will get a day at my academy where I will give them an introduction to make up and prosthetics. This would make a fantastic Christmas present.”

Once completed the film will be submitted to festivals all over the world , and based on the script alone ‘The Box’ has already been accepted at one film festival. Shaune’s previous three short film have amassed 22 awards and Shaune is confident this film will be well received at festivals.
