After seeing a fresh batch of stills posted on Facebook during the week, I had to share this project with you all. I mean, how could I pass up an opportunity to write about a film called Alien Harvest?
Alien Harvest is an upcoming horror-scifi action film currently in production thanks to Fresh Slate Pictures and writer/director Robert Thompson. Cast members confirmed to appear in this title include Richard Hackel (“Phobia”), Sarah Moore (“Gamer Chick”), Paisley Blackburn (Night of the Dolls), Tina Brown, Ennis L. Brown Jr, Caitlin Kelley, Sarah Bailey, and Greg Wolfe.
With a name like Alien Harvest I’m sure you’re wondering what this film is about. The plot is as follows: “Ten years ago, an alien race, called the Sklaars, conquered the planet, and proceeded to turn the human race into their slaves — and their food. As the ten year celebration for the aliens approach, called “The Harvest,” a soldier, named Dex, leads a desperate effort to escape the aliens, and lead people north, where the aliens can’t pursue them, due to the frigid temperatures.”
A teaser trailer for Alien Harvest premiered on YouTube this past October. Speaking personally with writer/director Robert Thompson, more media/press friendly material will be hitting blogs and websites sometime within the next handful of days. I’m going to keep everyone reading up-to-date and I hope people are as excited about this as I am. What’s better than a movie about aliens? A movie about aliens that eat people!
