Gas Station Horror’s 19th Show Scheduled for January 3rd in New York.

Gas Station Horror is a monthly, high-energy improv show that turns bad horror movie scenes into great comedy.

Hosts J. W. Crump and Jordan Hirsch are joined by a talented group of horror-philes from the major comedy theaters in New York. After playing clips from low-rent horror movies, the improvisers take the stage to finish the scene in new and hilarious ways. The result is a wild and fun party of a show that’s been running for over 18 months at the Peoples Improv Theater (PIT).

Every show features movie fun-facts, brand-new clips, and a free raffle where audience members have the chance to win horror DVDs and other prizes.

Gas Station Horror is premiering its 19th show on January 3rd at 9:30PM at the PIT. Tickets are $10.00 and are available online (here) or at the door. More information can be found at their official website: gasstationhorror.com.

Gas Station Horror features performances by J. W. Crump, Jordan Hirsch, Sean Reidy, Connor McClure, Kaitlin Fontana, Julia Morales, Josh Krebs, Michelle Francesca Thomas, Sam Jackel, B. J. Thorne, and Keisha Zollar with tech and lighting design provided by Christine Liz Pynn.

The critics are raving about Gas Station Horror:

“Someone once told me the job of the improviser is to both enchant and horrify. Gas Station horror accomplishes both to terrific effect. I loved it.” – Philip Markle, NY Director of Education, The Annoyance

“I love this show. It combines the schlocky acting and student-film grade production of B-movie horror flicks with sharp, witty improv. And they hold raffles throughout the show. You have to love that.” – Keith Huang, Former Artist Director at the Peoples Improv Theater

“You know when you and your buddies would sit around making fun of bad movies? This is that taken to the next level. Hilarious.” – Tom Patrick Stephens, actor, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

“Gas Station Horror is a wet-dream for the horror movie fan(slash)improv geek…One of the most fun shows at The PIT.” – Mark Stetson, co-host of the PITcast
