  • 1979 – The late Aaliyah, the singer-turned actress starred in “Queen of the Damned”.
  • 1968 – former “Baywatch” hunk David Chokachi, appeared in “Witchblade (TV Series)”, “Murder Dot Com”, “Rage of the Yeti”, “Army of the Damned”, “Devour”, “The Jersey Devil”.
  • 1956 – Anders Hove, best known for playing the vampire “Radu” in “Subspecies 1-4” films. He also appeared in “Critters 4” and “Tales from the Crypt (TV Series).”
  • 1950 – Caroline Munro, who appeared in the films “The Abominable Dr. Phibes,” “Dr. Phibes Rises Again,” “Dracula A.D. 1972″ and “Flesh For the Beast.”
  • 1948 – Director John Carpenter. Not only did he direct the films “Halloween,” “The Thing”, “The Fog”, “Escape From New York”, “Christine”, “Prince of Darkness”, “Ghost of Mars” and “Vampires,” and more, he also composed the scores as well.
  • 1938 – The late Michael Pataki, appeared in “The Andromeda Strain”, “The Return of Count Yorga”, “Grave of the Vampire”, “The Bat People”, “The Invisible Man (TV Series)”, “Dracula’s Dog”, “Dead & Buried”, “Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers”, and much more.
  • 1918 – Stirling Siliphant, who produced the TV movie “Salem’s Lot” and wrote the screenplays for the films “The Village of the Damned” and “The Swarm.”
  • 1901 – Marcel Delgado, who did the visual effects for the films “King Kong,” “Son of Kong,” “War of the Worlds” and “Fantastic Voyage.”
  • 1890 – Karl Freund, who directed the original “Mummy” and “Mad Love,” and was also the cinematographer on such films as “The Golem,” “Metropolis,” the 1920 version of “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” and “Dracula.” He eventually became director of photography for the TV show “I Love Lucy.”
