Blu Review: God Told Me To

Blue Underground announced last year that early this year they would be releasing the Larry Cohen film Gold Told Me To.  This is one I had never seen before so I was really excited to see the film and Blue Underground was nice enough to send me a review copy.

My blu reviews focus on three things; the artwork, the film quality, and the special effects.

The artwork for this film features the original film’s poster, which is a great poster, but it looks faded which takes away from the look.  If you have read my blu reviews before then you know I am a sucker for original posters but this one definitely needed some touch ups.

The film transfer is fucking amazing.  It is remastered and transferred in 1080p and it shows in every scene.  Blue Underground has been setting the standard for their blu releases and this is another prime example of that.

Finally the film has several great special features which is something we have came to expect from a BU release.  This release comes with commentary by Larry Cohen, interviews with Tony Lo Bianco, Steve Neill, Q and A with Larry Cohen, trailers, tv spots, and poster gallery.  All these specials features are solid and makes this a prime release.

Overall, Gold Told Me To from Blue Underground is an amazing release that is essential to the modern collector and fans of classic horror cinema.  This needs to be checked out!
