They’re here… Again.
The Poltergeist remake is officially hitting theaters nationwide on July 24, 2015. It may seem like a long time from now, but in reality it’s only five months away. MGM and 20th Century Fox are starting to roll out promotional material in hopes of getting horror fans and the average cinema viewer psyched for remake of the iconic 1982 film, Poltergeist.
The Poltergeist remake is written by David Lindsay-Abaire and directed by Gil Kenan of Monster House fame. Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead, The Grudge) served as producer. Cast members include Rosemarie DeWitt (“Mad Men,” “United States of Tara”), Jared Harris (“Mad Men,” “Fringe”), Nicholas Braun, Jane Adams, Saxon Sharbino, Kennedi Clements, and Kyle Catlett.
Pretty sure Kennedi Clements is playing Carol Anne this time around, even though the character is now known as Madison. Regardless, seeing these brand new stills has me a little bit interested in seeing this remake. Now we just have to wait for the trailer!

Well, look at this lazy collection of not-at-all scary images the studio is rolling out to convince me they have this year’s Robocop/Total Recall/The Fog remake on their hands. Mission accomplished. Anything good coming out that weekend?
