“Scream Queens:” More Cast Added to New Show, First Teaser Trailer Released!

It’s going to be a long wait until next fall. Although I’m slightly hesitant about all the pop stars being added to this upcoming series, I’m somewhat hopeful that it’ll still be amazing because of all the talented actors who are filling up the main roster. Plus, even if it wasn’t I’d still tune in for quality horror television…

Fans worldwide have been waiting for Jamie Lee Curtis’ return to horror ever since “Scream Queens” was announced back in October 2014. The horror-comedy series – created by “American Horror Story” and “Glee” trifecta comprised of Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan – is set to follow a college campus that is rocked by a series of brutal murders. The first season is planned to include fifteen episodes that will premiere on FOX this Fall.

Several cast members were recently added to the line up:
– Nick Jonas: will be a recurring cast member. He’s 1/3 of former pop sensation The Jonas Brothers who has recently found his own fame with two top forty singles. He’s also the lead actor on DirecTV series, “Kingdom.”
– Lucien Laviscount: will be a lead cast member. He started as a television actor in “Waterloo Road,” before appearing as a reality television contestant on “Celebrity Big Brother.” He will also play the lead role in the upcoming “Supernatural” spin-off.
– Niecy Nash: will be a recurring cast member in the confirmed role of a butt-kicking security guard, much like her days in the comedic series “Reno 911.” She’s also done her fair share of horror titles, such as Nurse 3D. (I’m most excited about this one, btw)

These three cast members will join Jamie Lee Curtis (The Fog, Halloween, Prom Night), Emma Roberts (“American Horror Story,” Scream 4), Joe Manganiello (Spider-Man 2, “True Blood”), Skyler Samuels (“The Nine Lives of Chloe King”), Abigail Breslin (Signs, Zombieland), Lea Michelle (“Glee”), Billie Lourd, and Ariana Grande (“Victorious”) as most of the central roles on “Scream Queens.”

Filming is expected to begin in April 2015.
