“The Vatican Tapes” to Hit Theaters May 2015?

vatican-tapesThe reason I have a question mark at the end of my subject line is because The Vatican Tapes was originally scheduled for theatrical release in November. Then it was delayed to February before being pushed back again to its current date: May 22, 2015. Honestly, the subject matter in The Vatican Tapes really interests me as it deals with exorcisms performed by the church. It gets me thinking – what do they know that they aren’t telling us? So, I’m hoping that this movie sees the light of day just one week before my birthday. I think I may know how to start my celebration!

Taken from ComingSoon.com, the synopsis for The Vatican Tapes is as follows. “The movie follows the haunting tale of 27-year-old Angela Holmes, an ordinary girl who begins to have a devastating effect on anyone close to her, causing serious injury and death. The local priest, Father Lozano, examines Holmes and believes she is possessed, but when Vicar Imani and Cardinal Bruun are called from the Vatican to exorcise the demon, it proves to be an ancient satanic force more powerful than they imagined.”

Mark Neveldine (Crank, Ghost Rider) directed this feature film based on the script by Chris Borrelli (The Marine 2) and Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious). Cast members include Kathleen Robertson (“Bates Motel,” Scary Movie 2), Djimon Hounsou (Constantine, StarGate), Michael Pena (Crash, The Shield), Dougray Scott (“Hemlock Grove,” Taken 3), John Patrick Amedori (“Gossip Girl,” “Vanished”), and Olivia Taylor Dudley (Chernobyl Diaries, “CSI: Miami”) as Angela.
